Geisha are referred to as Geiko in Kanazawa.
Learn about their culture, and appreciate their hospitality
through experiences we offer.
Kanazawa is a city with many historical treasures; one of which is Geiko.
The beautiful cityscape of Kanazawa is marked by the traditional architectures including ochayas (teahouses).
Geiko-san's hospitality is very exclusive and is usually only offered to their trusted, regular customers at their ochayas.
Geiko-san are professional performing artists who preserve the tradition to pass onto the younger generation in the future.
Art of Geisha is here to share the world with Kanazawa's wonderful tradition, Geiko.

I loved every moment of this special treat. Hearing about the geiko lives, listening to them sing and play. Having an interpreter was terrific too. I felt very privileged to spend time with truly special. Excellent performance. (April 2025, New Zealand)
I thought it showcased a nice variety of places and gave me a deeper appreciation for the city. I liked that we started with the overview at the center. The guide was very engaging and informative.

Time went by very quick and the whole thing was entertaining and fun. Price was very reasonable for being shown traditional performances and given the opportunity go get a private tour of a teahouse that is not normally seen by the public (April 2025, Australia)
I loved the Meet the Geiko evening, the performances and getting a chance to play games and ask questions.
I would recommend it to anyone who has never met a Geisha or Geiko before and is curious. (April 2025, Wales)
I joined the tour to have a better experience and to understand the culture better. I really enjoyed it, it was very informative, easy to understand and I heard a lot I didn't know before.
(May 2025, Switzerland)
We wanted to have an opportunity to experience geiko in small group environment with English explanations. It was a wonderful, accessible experience with a perfect balance of artistic performance, education and fun.
( April 2025, USA )
We specially invite 6 people to attend the annual summer evening festival in Nishi Chaya District. This is an exclusive festival for local regular customers. There, guests gather and get entertained by around 10 Geiko with their traditional arts performances, while enjoying conversation, drinks and a bento, which is a Japanese meal in a box.
The evening offers a fun, casual atmosphere which you will share with around 50 Japanese locals. It'll be all in Japanese, it's a perfect opportunity for those who want to experience a local Japanese culture.
